Our neighbor and close friend bill, began receiving gifts about 2 weeks before Christmas. At first, he thought the original gift was a one time gift from someone in the neighborhood. But after the next day he received a second gift. Then a third and a fourth. What he was getting was part of the 12 days of Christmas. This of course went on for twelve days. Always, the doorbell would ring and he would answer with no one there, only a small gift at the door with a note and a scripture passage. Finally, on the 13th day, the door bell rang and when he answered there were 4 girls from the neighborhood. They range in age from 6 to 11. They told Bill they choose a neighbor each year and give them the twelve days of Christmas. They sang several Christmas carols and Bill asked if I could take a picture. He told me I could share this story with those who read this posting.
This was truly a special time as you could tell these girls did this under their own guidance and were not told by there parents to do this. Actually, some of the goodies were made /baked by the girls. God bless the parents of these girls for raising them this way.
